Making data compliance feel less like a chore
Wult is a startup on a mission to simplify the complex, high-stakes world of enterprise data compliance. Built for Data Protection Officers (DPOs) in large organisations, the platform helps manage privacy workflows, streamline audits, and ensure regulatory alignment—all from one place.
Our focus was on translating that ambition into a strong product foundation. We designed a UX that supports efficient workflows, a scalable design system for future development, and a visual language that reflects the professionalism and reliability required in compliance tech.
Challenge
Designing for clarity in a moving target
Enterprise compliance is a tough space. The rules are constantly evolving, and user expectations are high. The challenge was designing a product that felt modern and innovative without alienating users who rely on familiar interaction patterns.
We had to balance novelty with usability. Should we introduce new UX ideas or stick to known conventions? Working closely with Wult’s C-level team, we found the right line: create a product that feels fresh but still fits comfortably into enterprise workflows.
It wasn’t just about design, it was about strategic prioritisation. What would make this MVP not just viable, but lovable? We aimed for an MLP: a Minimum Lovable Product with strong UX, clear value, and room to grow.
Process
Vision-led, detail-driven UX
From the start, we were embedded with Wult’s founding team. That tight collaboration meant we could move quickly while keeping the big picture in focus.
We began with user journey mapping and wireframes, then moved into detailed UI design supported by a scalable component library. We tested assumptions early, iterated fast, and made sure each interaction supported the broader product goals.
This wasn’t a hand-off project—it was a continuous exchange of feedback and ideas. Design reviews with the leadership team helped us stay aligned as we translated vision into execution.

The product now features a consistent, polished interface backed by a reusable design system—ready to support future features and faster development. More importantly, it delivers clarity and usability in a space often dominated by complexity.
